Wednesday 1 April 2026 V&A Design Innovate Competition for Year 7-9 This spring term a group of KS3 students have been working hard to take part in the Victoria and Albert Museum's Innovate competition within the Design Technology Department. They have been working on the brief Reimagine, Rest and Join set out by the museum.

Monday 30 March 2026 Our Environmental Team build new bird houses Our students in the Environmental Team were inspired by the visit by the Somerset Wildlife Trust and have spent Monday lunchtimes this term with Mr Featherstone creating three bird boxes to go up around the school site. The boxes have different size holes to allow different species to access them.

Monday 30 March 2026 Battle of the Bands 2026 We had a packed house for this year's Battle of the Bands, and the atmosphere was electric from start to finish. The performances were absolutely outstanding, with every musician taking the stage with cool, confident energy that had the audience cheering all evening.

Thursday 26 March 2026 Paris Trip Report 2026 We set off from Haygrove in the early hours of Wednesday, half-asleep and wondering why we had signed up for this. By the time we arrived in sun-soaked Paris in the afternoon, the early start already felt worth it.

Tuesday 17 March 2026 Celebrating Our Latest Haygrove Way Bronze Award Winners Following the achievements recognised before the half‑term break, a new group of Year 7 students have now proudly completed their Haygrove Way Bronze Award.Over the past few weeks, students have continued reflecting on their personal growth, demonstrating the resilience, kindness, curiosity, and community spirit that the award is designed to celebrate. Their form tutors have been incredibly impressed by the effort put into each student's portfolio, with many going above and beyond both in and out of school.In another celebratory assembly this week, [insert names here if you'd like them included] were presented with their official Bronze Award certificates. Their commitment, enthusiasm, and positive attitude truly embody the Haygrove Way.A huge well done to all our new Bronze Award recipients! Friday 27 February 2026 Supersonic Success for Our Year 9 and 10 Esports Teams Students from Years 9 and 10 at Haygrove School travelled to Teignmouth Community School to take part in the second Supersonic Showcase—an exciting esports tournament open to schools of all types from across the Southwest. Although the competition drew teams from a wide area, the majority of schools represented were from Devon, giving the event a real regional buzz.

Thursday 26 February 2026 Year 7 Football Team Shine in First Match of the Season Our Year 7 football team showed real determination and team spirit in their recent match against King Alfred's School just before halfterm. They were resilient in tough moments, worked tirelessly for each other, and played with confidence and passion throughout the game. For a first match as a team, their performance was incredibly impressive and a brilliant sign of what's to come!
