V&A Design Innovate Competition for Year 7-9
This spring term a group of KS3 students have been working hard to take part in the Victoria and Albert Museum's Innovate competition within the Design Technology Department. They have been working on the brief Reimagine, Rest and Join set out by the museum.
Our students have been identifying problems within our school and wider community, conducting interviews, sketching and creating physical models of their solutions. They worked very hard giving up their lunchtimes, working as a team to create their designs.
Design solutions varied from a recycled sculpture, an electronic pencil case to a fairy wellbeing garden. These solutions along with their research has been sent off to the Victoria and Albert Museum in London for judging against thousands of other secondary school pupils. We eagerly await the results!
