Haygrove Students Support QET Social Action Conference

A group of Haygrove School student leaders recently joined pupils from across the Quantock Education Trust (QET) for a Social Action Conference held at ARK@Egwood.
The event brought together children from six primary schools and young leaders from Haygrove and Sexey’s School to explore the Trust’s UCARE values: Uniqueness, Community, Aspiration, Respect and Equity. Through a range of team-building and creative activities, pupils reflected on the importance of character, inclusion and belonging, while building new friendships across the Trust.
Haygrove students played a key role throughout the day, supporting activities, encouraging participation and acting as positive role models for younger pupils. Their leadership helped create a welcoming atmosphere where everyone felt valued and included.
The conference concluded with pupils working together to create a shared statement about building a friendly, inclusive community that celebrates differences and inspires everyone to thrive.
The event highlighted the positive impact young people can have when they work together and demonstrated QET’s commitment to developing character alongside academic success.
