Celebrating a Successful Summer Term for Careers Education

This Summer Term has seen our Careers Programme truly come to life, offering students a wide range of enriching opportunities to explore their future pathways.

From CV skills workshops, mock interviews with employers, and a fantastic Work Experience Week, to College Taster Days, 1:1 Personal Guidance Meetings, our Whole School Careers Fair, a STEM workshop, and the engaging Army Elite Skills workshop. It has been a term packed with meaningful, hands-on careers education.

Work Experience - July 2023

Thank you to all the employers and organisations who have supported our programme, whether through in-school events or by hosting over 200 Year 10 students on work experience placements. Your time, expertise, and support have made a real difference. We are proud to have collaborated this year with a diverse and inspiring range of organisations, including: EDF, Somerset Larder, NRS, Bridgwater & Taunton College, the NHS, Army Careers, Avon & Somerset Police, The Environment Agency, Wessex Water, UK Hydrographic Office, Norland, Willmott Dixon Construction, Kier, Richard Huish College, Müller, ASK Apprenticeships, The Country Dog Hotel, as well as many of our local primary schools and nurseries, Inspired Schools, SHAL Housing, SASP, and many more. Thank you for creating these opportunities and for playing such a key role in our students' development.
