Home Schooling during Closure

3 April 2020

We hope that you and your families are continuing to stay safe in this unprecedented time. As we adapt to working and learning in this new way, we have taken feedback from a number of parents and are reviewing the home learning that is being shared via SMHW. Further information and guidance will be shared in due course.

Don't forget you can access a range of resources to help with home schooling here: https://bit.ly/2UHhK6I

We are continuing to offer care provision over the Easter holidays for children of key workers, but must stress that children should only be in school if there is no other safe alternative for them. Please email key@haygrove.somerset.sch.uk if you require your child to be in school over the coming weeks.

Be safe and have a happy Easter holiday.

Home Study and Activity Resources

In order to support students and families while school is closed due to restrictions being put in place by the UK Government to help stop the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), staff are compiling lessons and resources to help keep people mentally and physicall active while they are at home.

The majority of resources for students will be made available by subject teachers via Show My Homework. SMHW is also available via the app for mobile devices. Students must have the SMHW notification settings on within their SMHW account so that they will receive alerts when new resources are added by their subject teachers.

If your son/daughter does not currently have access to SMHW, please email support@haygrove.somerset.sch.uk

All Haygrove School letters home regarding COVID-19 emergency planning can be found here.

Please remember that at this time we should all be implementing the guidelines on social distancing if we are not self-isolating due to Coronavirus symptoms among our close family.
