Planning for Partial School Opening

In line with Government guidelines we are working with parents of Year 10 students and our staff to develop and implement safe strategies to extend school provision to Year 10 students along with children of key workers from June 15th . As soon as our school plan is agreed it will be published to all parents.

Please click here to read a letter from Mrs Canham regarding the reopening of schools within the Quantock Education Trust.

We have today issued a new Home Schooling Timetable to help our Year 7,8 and 9 students plan their home learning.

Don't forget you can click here to access a range of resources to help with home schooling

If you are a key worker and require childcare for your son or daughter at Haygrove School because you have no other safe childcare provision, please email stating your child’s name, registration group, parent's name, parent's occupation and the days/times you intend to send your child to school.

School Admissions

Haygrove School is an Academy school and as such the Governing Body is the admissions authority for the school.

At present, our annual Student Admission Number is 214 students.

School Prospectus

Year 6 to Year 7 transition 2019 admissions

All applications for admission, must be submitted to your home Local Authority by the closing date and will be considered under the Equal Preference with Ranking system of allocation.

Further information on School Admissions and how to apply can be found on the Somerset Council Council website.

The Local Authority will forward all applications to the school and the Governing Body will rank them against the oversubscription criteria set out in our Admissions Policy 2020-2021.

For 2021-2022 admissions, please see the Admissions Policy 2021-2022.

This list will then be returned to the Local Authority under the coordinated admissions scheme and they will make a single offer of a place by email and letters, usually in early March.

You can apply online or using a paper application.

PLEASE NOTE: Somerset County Council will not be issuing any reminder letters to parents regarding the closing date for secondary school applications. Haygrove School will, however, post reminders on this website and social media. Visit our Facebook page here.

For all other admissions, please contact Mr G Walters, Assistant Headteacher using our Contact Us form. He will be happy to advise you and arrange for you to visit the school.

Come and visit us

We are always pleased to meet prospective parents and students.
