We are delighted you are considering our school for your child. Haygrove is an excellent secondary school where pupils make good progress and achieve outstanding examination results.
Below are links to some of the important information you need to make the right decision for your family:
Our trampolining squad recently made the short journey to Taunton’s Wellsprings Sports Centre to compete in the South West Championships where they dominated the trophy and medal count by securing five championship golds, two silver and two bronze.
“It was great to have such a large squad taking part this year, with every year group at the school represented. Haygrove has a long history of success in trampolining, including Laura Gallagher who very recently gained a Silver medal in the women’s team trampolining final at the World Championships in China. Hopefully this will continue over the coming years with the current interest in the sport amongst the younger students” said Den Gibbs, Trampolining Coach.
Haygrove School secured a clean sweep in the Year 9/10 girls team competition gaining 1st, 2nd and 3rd place medals and this age group’s team performances earned both 1st and 2nd place, a brilliant set of results for this experienced squad.
In the younger age bracket, the Year 7/8 girls took 1st place in the individual competition and both 1st and 2nd places in the team competitions. In the both the Year 7-9 Intermediate and Elite categories, Haygrove gained 3rd and 5th place in what was a very competitive group of athletes. Excellent performances were also put in by four of the school’s youngest Year 7 trampolinists, for whom this was their very first competition.
All of the medal-winners will now go through to the Southern Zonals which take place in January 2020.
