We are delighted you are considering our school for your child. Haygrove is an excellent secondary school where pupils make good progress and achieve outstanding examination results.
Below are links to some of the important information you need to make the right decision for your family:
This week saw the return visit by Spaxton School pupils to Haygrove to complete their music project. Over 70 of the primary school’s students made their way to the John Hoare Music Centre where their musical talents and their voices were recorded with the support of Haygrove staff, Miss Powell and Mr Hill, and staff from Spaxton School.
The musical project was initiated by Spaxton’s Acting Head Teacher, Mr Luke Kelly who wanted his students to round off their term’s work by putting lyrics they had written to music they created themselves to the tune of Can’t Stop the Feeling by Justin Timberlake.
Several of our Year 9 students have helped and encouraged their younger peers by teaching them how to play the song on guitar, keys and drums and the Haygrove students were proud today to see some of the Spaxton pupils being recorded playing their chosen instruments. The whole group then gathered together to sing the words they had written and now the staff and students from Haygrove will now edit each track together to create a unique musical masterpiece!
Thank you to everyone involved in this inspiring project, especially Year 9 students I Harcombe, E Thomas, E Hill, L Innalls and T Smailes.
