Haygrove School’s talented trampolinists are set to compete in the British Schools Gymnastics Association National Finals which take place in Cannock on 2nd March 2019.
After their success at the South West Regional Schools Championships held last November, the Haygrove School trampoline squad headed off to Eastleigh in Hampshire for the Southern Zonal Championships and came back triumphant! The Year 11 - 14 Novice Team (H Moule, M Turner, A Millar and E Smith) and the Year 7 - 8 Intermediate Team (L Bennett, l Bennett, A Williams and E Moule) both took First Place in their competitions to secure their places at the National Finals and, in the individual competitions, Hope Jones and Leighton Goodison-Crisp took First Place in the Year 11-14 Intermediate and Third Place in the Year 9 – 10 Boys Novice events respectively. The Year 7-9 Novice team did extremely well, coming Third in their event, but unfortunately this was not quite enough for entry into the National Finals.
Thank you to Mr D Gibbs for his coaching and support of the teams.
