Held this year at Oake Manor Golf Club near Taunton, Prom Night gave our departing Year 11 students the chance to show off their smart suits and georgeous dresses as they stepped out of their prom night transport and onto the red carpet to be greeted by their Head of Year Miss Rebecca Mitchell.
Family, friends and school staff gathered to watch their arrival, soak up the atmosphere and commit to memory this very special occasion. Cheers and clapped greeted some of the vehicles as they cruised up to the golf club entrance, which included tractors, sports cars, classic and vintage cars and one young lady arriving on her horse, with red roses tied into it’s mane.
After the photographs had been taken, the students made their way inside for a 3-course meal followed by music and dancing.
“I am so proud of my year group,” said Miss Mitchell, “they have worked so hard over the past months to do the best they can in their exams, they really deserve to have a fantastic Prom and to enjoy their summer break before moving onto the next stage of their lives. I want to wish each and every one of them the very best for the future.”
