Year 8 students were very lucky with the weather for their visit to Steart Marshes and Rodway Farm to help with their Geography lessons. The students listened and asked questions to a volunteer of Steart Marshes who gave them plenty of information they can take back to the classroom. The students were then set the task of completeing their booklets and who could spot different species of bird in the hides during their walk around the wetland. The students also visited Bridgwater and Taunton College's Rodway Farm where they got to experience first hand the day-to-day running of a dairy farm. The students were took on a tour around the farm where they got to interact with cows, newborn calfs and 1 day old piglets. It was great to see the students asking questions and being really enthusaistic. It was a really informative and fun day for all of the students so we would like to say a huge thank you to Steart Marshes and Rodway Farm for a briliant day!
