Students from the Haygrove School choir took a break from lessons last week to make the short trip to The Rosary Nursing Home to entertain the residents with carols and Christmas songs. This is the third year that students from Haygrove, along with Head of Music, Miss Emma Powell, have visited the nursing home to bring Christmas cheer to the elderly residents and staff. The choir sang several carols including ‘Silent Night’ but mixed up the programme up with festive classics such as ‘Santa Claus is Coming to Town’ and ‘White Christmas’.
‘Every year I am delighted that our students are willing to stand up and sing at the Rosary Nursing Home. It is always a pleasure to take them there and see how much everyone enjoys their singing,” said Miss Powell.
Well done to all who attended!
