We are delighted you are considering our school for your child. Haygrove is an excellent secondary school where pupils make good progress and achieve outstanding examination results.
Below are links to some of the important information you need to make the right decision for your family:
Although Ben, Harry and Dan didn't go the same primary school, only a couple of weeks after arriving at Haygrove School, they were firm friends.
Dan and Harry, who went to Wembdon St George's C of E Primary School and Cannington Church of England Primary School respectively, knew each other from playing in a local football team. Harry then switched to the same football club as Ben, who was attending St Mary's Catholic Primary School, but it wasn't until the three found themselves in the same tutor group at Haygrove that their friendship grew.
Dan said, "There were other people from my primary school in my tutor group, but the three of us, along with Will and Jack immediately clicked as friends. It's much more fun here than at primary school. You get to study a much wider range of subjects and they are taught by lots of different teachers who try to make their lessons interesting."
"We all enjoy PE and go to lots of after school sports sessions, and we play regularly for the school's teams" said Ben, "I'm proud to have been a part of our year group success in sport this year. We have won lots of trophies including ones for football, rugby, cricket and basketball."
Reflecting on the past year, Harry suggested that, "Probably the best thing we have done in the last year is win the Year 7 Sedgemoor Rugby Cup which was presented to us by Dan Frost who plays for the England U20 squad." Dan and Ben agreed wholeheartedly!
"I was really looking forward to coming here," said Ben, " I felt it was time to leave my primary school and get involved in new things and meet new people. This has been a great year but I am really looking forward to Year 8 and hopefully we can carry on winning lots of sports trophies for the school!"
