Pixl Edge is a framework for schools to develop and accredit in students the personal attributes that are essential for employability and life.
We are launching Pixl Edge this September (2015) with our Year 9 and Year 10 students who will each receive a personal log-in to the Pixl Edge website.
What is it all about?
The scheme will focus on five key attributes:
At three levels:
An Apprentice has begun to gain confidence in acquiring and using a specific attribute. They are increasingly trying out and experimenting, they will often make mistakes as their learning of an attribute becomes more concrete, showing a range of performance depending on the circumstances in which they are required to use the attribute. They are able to perform activities designated to this apprentice stage consistently.
A Graduate is a more confident user of an attribute. They are able to functions in the majority of situations where an attribute is required and are increasingly consistent in their application of the attribute at the higher level designated by the Graduate stage.
Our Year 9 students will work towards Apprentice level and our Year 10 students will work towards Graduate level. For each level students will need to complete a variety of approved activities chosen from an approved activity database.
